I promise I didn’t choose this game for an unfiltered stream of consciousness because it’s the Jets and I think it’ll be a less stressful matchup. I’m not jinxing the Eagles by saying that. No way.

Greg the Leg just barely squeaked his kick through the left upright but he’s acting like he just hit a 60-yarder right down the center. Doesn’t look like his team cares to indulge his celebration, but I’d be mad too if a penalty just took away my end zone shot.

I’m mad that I have to sit here and type that it was for the best to just let him walk on in. That TD only took 4 seconds off the clock. The Jets have no more timeouts and the Eagles get the ball back with 1:46 and two timeouts.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck I just watched the Jets beat the Eagles for the first time in franchise history.

I got cocky. I’ll take the L for this one, Eagles fans. It’s payback for laughing at the 49ers losing to the Browns.

Injuries, turnovers, stalled out drives. No points in the second half. The first loss always hurts the worst but what sucks more is watching them collapse after playing, arguably, their most complete game last week.

They’ll bounce back. They have no choice. Miami in primetime next week.

I published this post and then came back to add that I switched over to coverage for ALCS game 1 and instead of, I don’t know, baseball??? they were talking about the Eagles and the Niners both losing their first games this season. Is nothing sacred anymore?
